Record Art

My fiance got into listening to records about a year ago and since we've expanded our collection to over 150 records and are thinking about buying a second record player. It's crazy but music sounds soooo much better and I love vintage things so I love it for that also :)
So being the crafty person I am, I have since tried to find ways to turn old records into art so I've made some clocks, bowls, and wall art. Let me know what you think!

This is a record clock I made with butterflies from old sheet music and cardstock. Works perfect and has a handmade/vintage feel.

This red one is a bowl I made out of a newer record that we didn't like so I turned it into something useful!

This is the record clock we have hanging in our office. It was made out of an extra copy we had of Minus the Bear's Planet of Ice, a record we both really enjoy.

I've also made a few custom items I'll put up eventually but for now let me know what you think!

Very creative! I love it! If you are ever interested in doing a guest post for my "To Do Tuesday" I'd love for you to write up a how to craft idea. What fun! Thanks for being so creative and thanks for joining Admirer Monday! I'm a new follower!

Hey, Thanks for Stopping by the Bender Oak blog! Been reading your site, and it's great (love the styling and format too!).

Decided to post on a non-crochet post, because this is definitely unique and inspiring. I've got a few old records myself, and while i've tried the Bowl thing (and failed, sigh)...The clock artwork is amazing!

I'll be following, because your ideas and crafts are great.

Thanks so much! I actually planned on doing a tutorial on how to make the bowls but never posted it, I'll try to sometime this week so hopefully you can try it again. They're so fun to make and super easy to decorate and paint.
